Since I can remember I have always felt a deep connection with animals.
When I was a child, all I wanted to do is to go outside in nature to be with the animals. Soon I fell in love with horses and the journey of finding myself began.
When I got my own horse, she was nothing like the horses I was used to ride with. I started to look more at people doing horsemanship and groundwork with their horses.
As a teenager, I was busy following classes and lessons with different horseman learning more about horses and their behavior. When I got my second horse I experimented with bitless riding and positive reinforcement.
After I graduated I followed a professional bachelor in agriculture and biotechnology to become a vet assistant. I started working at an office job and gave lessons to people who had trouble with their horse.
My herd expanded with 4 other horses and quickly I felt that my mind and my intuition came in conflict. Everything I learned sometimes didn’t feel good when I was helping horses. In that moment, I had the chance of following a clinic with Noora Enqhvist. Thanks to her and this experience, I started to work with horses like I always wanted and like I did when I was younger, from my heart and intuition.
After two years I started to loose my creativity and motivation at my office job. I was ready for the next step in my life and to do what I was meant to be doing. I changed my life, gave up my office job and became a full time horse instructor. When I saw how many horse owners had problems in the relationship with their horse, I started to educate myself more in the way our soul, spirit and body works. I was intrigued by what happened to our connection with horses when we become more aware about our body and mind. I started to follow courses in body awareness and graduated as a certified yoga instructor.
Next to this, I developed my knowledge about healing and participated in a course about aromatherapy with horses. I am now guided by Kaftan Mama who guides me with the oils and how to use them. I graduated as a certified energetic animal healer and completed my Reiki 1. I started a course about Triggerpoint, Bach Flower Therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. At the moment I am studying Equine Acupressure at the Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute in America. My life goal is guiding horses and their owners to a happy life by giving them the opportunity to understand each other and communicate with each other.
Tallgrass is an Approved Provider of Animal Acupressure Courses by the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage (NBCAAM),Â
